Detailed explanation for Math Count on ten frames - up to 10

There is a frame with ten compartments in the task. Do you see the empty frame, and there is nothing in compartments? It means that the total number of objects is zero. If compartments contain some items, then we need to calculate their total number in the frame. Please, note that the frame has two identical parts: top and bottom. The upper part consists of five compartments, as well as the lower one. It will help you to count. If the upper (or lower) row contains objects and there is no empty place, we can say that the number of items in the frame is five. If we see one row and part of the second row in the frame filled, we can say that the number of items is more than five.

Be careful, do not miss a single item when counting. You need to count each one.

Remember which object you have already counted, and which one not. It will prevent you from counting the same item twice.
