Compare heights of two objects.

Detailed explanation for Math Height: tall or low

There is a way to determine which of the two objects is higher. Put the objects on a flat surface and look at the upper point where they end. If the points are at the same height, then the objects are equal in height. One object is taller when its endpoint is above another object. The comparing objects must have a single reference point. Only in this case, the result will be correct. It is wrong to compare two trees by the top if one is on a mountain and the other is on a plain.

It is how we measure which of the two people is higher. You may stand on a flat surface with your friend or brother back to each other. Is your head at the level of your friend's ears? I'm sorry, but you're lower than your friend. Is your head above your brother's head? Congratulations, you are taller than your brother.

One of the ways to find out the height of something is to use a measuring device. People are used to measuring the length with a ruler or a tape measure. But we can use any other improvised means. Let's determine which of the two flowers is higher using toy cubes. Measure one flower first. Determine the beginning and end of the measured object. You may place the cubes next to the flower. The first cube should be at the same height as the beginning of the flower. Place the cubes on top of each other until you reach the top point of the flower.

How many cubes do you use? Suppose that it's eight cubes. So, the height of the first flower is eight cubes. Measure the second flower in the same way. We say that the flower that you used more cubes to measure is higher. Keep in mind, when measuring two objects the cubes must be the same, and they must fit snugly together.
