How to determine which shape is a cylinder?

The cylinder looks like a rectangle from the front. At the top and bottom of the cylinder, you can find the bases, that have the shape of a circle of the same size.

The cylinder has no corners, but there are upper and lower bases in the shape of a circle. The two bases of the cylinder are equal to each other. If you look at the cylinder from above or below, you will see a circle. If you look directly at the cylinder, you will see a rectangle. The cylinder looks like a cylinder or a tin can.
