Yesterday I had 4 donuts. And today - 2 less. How many donuts do I have today?

There are fewer donuts now. Let's subtract from the number of donuts from the beginning the number of donuts that we have now: 4 - 2. How do we find out the result? The number 4 consists of the numbers 2 and 2. Taking away one part, we get the second: 4 - 2 = 2. Let's write down the answer: Today I have 2 donuts.
