Use this set of math worksheets to help second and third-graders practice adding and comparing numbers up to 200.
Addition and comparison are significant math operations. They form the basis of various math problems and are commonly used in everyday life. By mastering these concepts, students improve their number sense and recognize relationships between numbers easier.
When comparing two-digit numbers, first, we compare tens. If these digits are equal, we continue comparing ones. For example, when comparing 27 and 43, first, we compare 2 and 4. We know that 2 is less than 4, so 27 is less than 43. To identify which sign to use, think of the greater and less than signs as an alligator’s mouth: the open side always points to a bigger number. Thus, we put the sign: 27< 43.
