This learning activity is designed to develop the vocabulary range of a child. Practicing with these resources helps children to become more confident while identifying opposite adjectives and eloquent by using adjectives with precision. This skill is essential while preparing a speech or writing an essay.
To have more fun, offer the following additional activity. Ask the children to work in pairs. One student looks at the sheet and says one adjective from the sheet – both from the topic words and the options. The second child names the opposite. Set the timing – 30 seconds to one minute. Ask children to name as many word pairs as possible. Then the students swap roles. The second one names an adjective and the first one gives the opposite of it. This can also work as a revision task.
