Welcome to our portal of fascinating and informative mathematics!
Fractions are an integral part of elementary mathematics. In order to quickly understand and work out this problem, we have prepared a visual aid for children that will help them understand fractions using elementary examples. Let’s imagine that in the picture you see several cakes divided into pieces. All children love sweets, so this comparison will be really attractive to them. So, ask the children to count how many pieces each cake is cut into and how many pieces have already been "bitten". Such pieces are highlighted in blue (or just shaded if you print black-and-white) . So, in the first example, it turns out 2/3. Where 3 is the total number of pieces into which the cake is divided, and 2 is part of the bitten ones.
Children who have already learned this topic can test their skills, passing a time-limited test for each page.
We have prepared a lot of fun activities for children. Find them on our website and keep on practicing with us every day!
