Let's have fun practicing how to form plural nouns.
These printables will help students master their grammar, reading, and writing skills in no time.
How do we form plural nouns? If the nouns are regular, we add 's' to the end of the word, for example, cats, pens. The words which end with -s, -x, -sh, -ch, - ss, -o require 'es' in the end: boxes, buses, potatoes. If the word ends with y and there is a consonant before it (p, d, b, r), we add es, and y turn to e: city - cities, puppy - puppies, kitty - kitties. It sounds a bit tricky, but with some practice, plurals will become a breeze for young learners.
Each worksheet contains various words. Children need to make the singular form plural and write down the answer in the space provided. When finished with the task, let kids color up the illustrations. They will love practicing with fun!
The worksheets are suitable for black-and-white printers. You can print these pages to give your students more opportunities to practice daily at school or self-studying at home.
